In the middle of the summer destination of Flå you will find Bjørneparkend Shopping centre that has everything you need for your vacation and travel.
Whether you’re heading to the mountains, on a road trip through Hallingdal, or visiting the popular wildlife park, Bjørneparken shopping centre is a perfect stopover during your summer vacation in Norway. Here you’ll find 22 shops, 2 restaurants and activities for the whole family, including a large selection of the very popular playground equipment and carousels for the children.
Shopping experience for the whole family
Whether you’re looking for a new summer dress, hiking boots or sunscreen that you forgot at home, you will find what you need at Bjørneparken Shopping Centre. Here we have gathered our tips that cover the whole family’s needs for the vacation, everyday life and everything in between.
At the store Dressmann you will find summer fashion for men. Light shirts, shorts and sunglasses – perfect for warm days and evenings on the go. Ma2Ma offers fashion trends, shoes and accessories that will put the finishing touch on your summer outfit. You will also find lovely décor for your home interior, including blankets, soaps, vases, lamps, tealights holders and scented candles.
Do you need anything for the children, a picnic or a day on the beach? The store Nille, has everything from cooler bags, summer toys and inflatable ring to disposable tableware, beach mattresses and seat cushions. Normal is the go-to place for travel-sized favourites; shampoo, deodorant, perfumes and shaving foam. You will also find a large selection of sunscreen and sun oils, and don’t forget the snacks and other products that you may not have known you needed but are glad you found.
Create a summer atmosphere at home, on the beach or at the cottage with textiles from Princess. Here you will find everything from beach towels, bathrobes and bath ponchos for children and adults. If you have forgotten cloths, bibs or plates and bottles for the children, Princess got your back. Do you like active holidays? Then you should visit Sport 1 and Sport Outlet. Here you will find a large selection of clothes, shoes and hiking equipment for a day at the beach, a cycling holiday or relaxing day out in nature. If you are going on a cycling trip, you will find bicycles and electric bicycles at Sport 1, also see a selection of fishing rods and hooks, tents, hammocks and hiking bags.
Local flavours and small pleasures
At Bjørneparken Shopping Centre you can enjoy good food, shop for your barbecue evening, or grab something quick on the go. If you want to take a well-deserved break, the centre has nice food options that suit both young and old.
At Bjørnehiet Café you can sit back with a good cup of coffee and fresh baked goods, but also enjoy traditional dishes based on good ingredients in cozy surroundings. Here you van have lunch and dinner in the restaurant, and in the evening the bar and lounge are open.
If you want something quick and familiar, McDonald’s is right next to the centre and is a popular stop for travellers – both for large meals and small ice creams breaks on hot days.
At Spekestua you will find authentic, traditional Norwegian cured meats, such as cured sausages, flatbread and ham of high quality and for every occasion. Find your new favourite! In the store you can see the selection that you can eat as a snack or give as a gift.

Summer opening hours and free parking with charging facilities
Bjørneparken Shopping Centre is a natural stop on the road, and is close to E16 and RV7, with easy access for cars, campers and tour buses. The centre has long opening hours throughout the summer.
Opening hours during the summer:
- Mon–Wed: 10am–6pm
- Thu–Fri: 10am–8pm
- Sat: 10am–6pm
- Sun: 12pm–6pm
Parking is also easy, with 350 free parking spaces outside the centre.
There are also charging options for electric cars, with 22 chargers where you can choose between fast charging and regular charging while you shop. If you cannot find an available spot to charge, our tip is you check the other side of the centre for even more charging spots.
